Our work consists of end-to-end design and detailing solutions for all your interior decoration and fit out needs.
We believe that great design is the outcome of simplified thinking and an uncanny attention to detailing within the design.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
INTECH Spaces LLP was founded by Mr Miqdad Bambot. He has a cumulative design experience of over 41 years and the last 29 years of those have been spent in interior design industry.
An engineer by education, he started his career at Mahindra & Mahindra in Mumbai later moving on to industrial design assignments at Bombay IIT – IDC and Sony-Orson Electronics
His calling for interior design came during a design assignment at Kilburn Engineering Limited, when the then MD saw his design skills and pushed him to start off on his own in the interior design field.
Consequently, he pivoted his father’s retail furniture outlet into a full services interior design firm and has been going strong ever since.
Miqdad holds a Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical) from SP Engineering College, Mumbai and a Masters in Industrial Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad.
PROCESS
Concept
Understanding the need is the first step of any task. In our case, we try to understand the feasibility of using the right materials, the overall budgets, the people who will be using the space in addition to the design brief.
Design
This is more of a journey that can follow many paths. Here we sit down with the detailed schematics of the space and create the technical and 3D drawings and software renders to shortlist the overall scope of work.
Plan & Detail
In this phase most of the planning and detailing of work takes place to get materials and labour to work towards a fixed goal to complete the given project in a given timeframe. Given the iterative nature of design, this phase is kept flexible depending on the client needs.
Execute
This is the final and crucial stage where all the paperwork comes to life and the design actually begins to take shape. Regular meetups, site visits, supervision and sourcing are synced up here to give you your home/office.
